Actually I have - the concern I have is that in checking out Ravelry - like Artlady - many aren't using as much yardage as thought needed. When I figure out the yardage for my size it's about 3200 - that's a lot! So I am in search of those who are my size who made it to see the exact yardage used so I can get a better estimate. I'm ok with needing to buy an extra skein or two but want it to be reasonable if possible.

I know what you are saying, Robynbird, about buying too much yarn for the CPH. I am pretty sure that I am going to have a fair amount of surplus yarn for mine...I will let you know.

I just got done with my 3" cuff on one of my sleeves. It's slowly coming along. I know this is terrible to say, but I always feel guilty when I'm knitting my CPH because it's for me and I have no deadline.

I have an afghan on needles right now for a wedding gift, a lace scarf for a birthday present that is way over due and a scarf that I never finished for my sister.

But, I always make a little bit of time each day so that I can see progress.

Which pattern are you using for the wedding afghan gift?? My nephew just got engaged and I am contemplating doing an Irish knit afghan or a quilt for his wedding gift.

I am doing the Burridge Lake Afghan for the wedding present. So far I have it charted, and I have about 6 rows of the first panel completed. The wedding is in August so I really need to get a move on it.

I have another question for Artlady...I have slipped the first stitch in the neck bind-off and I do like the smooth results. I did not slip the first stitch for the shoulder bind-off on the left front of my cph and have a stair-step result. Should I have slipped the first to achieve a smoother edge there as well? When you suggested knitting the first and last stitch in every row to achieve that lovely edge, do you do the same when binding off?? Thank you in advance. Patty

Thanks! I gave in - I found this at Elann.com and fell in love. I ordered it today in the mineral rose color and should have it this weekend.
