The CPH wasn't featured in Interweave Knits.
It was in the KNITSCENE, Fall 2006.

The pattern itself is available as a PDF download now, with the QUEEN sizes included. It is located in the Interweave Online Store. Click HERE.

I do not know if there are any back issues of that issue of KNITSCENE magazine, but the Interweave Online Store might have more information. I looked for a bit, but couldn't find any leads for the actual hard copy back issue. At this point, I think all they are selling are PDF downloads of the favorite designs.

Just a quick FYI: I will be up in the mountains next week. I have a Blackberry type phone, with internet access, however, KH doesn't work. I can read your posts, but I cannot post any replies.

Funny...because I can access all features on Ravelry: reading, posting, viewing.

Another KH member said her phone is the opposite. She can do everything on KH, but not Ravelry. You'd think if we could put a man on the moon....

So, I will not be able to respond to any questions all next week! Will do so as soon as I return!

Well now we ARE REALLY GOING!

Our town got 1.5" of rain in a couple of hours time the day before our trip...and we live on a hill...and the parking lot of a church up the hill ran all the rainwater it 'collected' down into our backyard! The water looked like Niagra Falls coming under our fence, over the rockery and even spewing right through our rockery! It looked like a fireman's hose!

My husband called the City officials and they came out and sandbagged the church parking lot and cleared all their clogged drains, and gave them 30 days to find a permanent remedy.

In the meantime, we had our own cleanup, and also, my husband went somewhere and filled 100 sandbags, stacked them 2 deep and 2 high on the other side of our wood fence where all the water was gushing in. At least in the event of another torrential downpour in the next 30 days, it will direct the 'river' of rainwater down the side of our property and down the hill to the street.

OY! So all of that totally SAPPED our time and energy, and we are just getting ourselves pulled together! We leave in the morning! See you all on Monday! Happy Knitting, Sisters!

Was this post TMI?

I'm back in town! What a week! Snow, wind, ice, rain, and sun!

We went from this on Thurs/Fri:

...to this on Saturday, our going home day!

At least we had good weather to travel (6 hrs) home!
And yes, those are clouds! Our camp is above the clouds!

How's everyone doing on their CPH??

I follow your posts religiously and love them, they are so educational. I didn't realize how LARGE Charlie is and now I am wondering how you fit him in your car to go up to the mountains and how does he behave for 6 hours in the car? Our little guy used to whimper in our car all the way there, all the way back.

Oh my! BIG BIG BIG dog crates in the back of the truck!

In summertime, we leave home (or camp) before dawn... to 'beat the heat', for the dogs' sake. We also make a few pit stops, giving them water and treats. Sometimes we also soak them down. The back of our truck isn't air-conditioned.

In cooler weather, they are all good-to-go. In this photo, taken in May, we covered their crates with tarps (except the front as you can see) so that they'd stay warmer. There is no back window, so they can see out and sniff the air if they want! Can you imagine if you were the car following us? TeeHee. But really, they are usually laying down. When we make a stop, they perk up!

They love to go bye-bye! They all readily jump up on the tailgate and straight into their crates! Even Charlie! That guy could rocket-launch himself onto the moon if he chose to!

The Shih Tzu is in the cab with me, of course!

I got my wool while you were enjoying your break. I'm hoping to do some tension tests over the weekend.

The colour is more green 'smoke' than blue, and I think it will look great. I really want to finish the 2nd sock for BIL's Christmas present first. Will let you know how I went on Monday.
