tooth floss
I was reading and if you knit with yarn and tooth floss together when you knit the heels and toes of socks it makes it stronger. hope this helps

Interesting. You'd have a white thread running through, but if you don't mind that it's worth a try I guess. I've used it for lifelines so I do recommend UNWAXED floss though. The wax kind sticks to the yarn.

Wooly Nylon is also used for reinforcement and it comes in colors.

When asking questions ALWAYS post the name and a link for the pattern if you have it.
