Adding Yarn for Knit & Purl
Hi,

I was wondering if you add yarn the same way for knit stitch and purl stitch.

I have a problem adding yarn when I've been purling every stitch. (Purling is so much easier for me).

I havn't tried it with the knit stitch yet. What happens is when I take the new yarn, I tie it around the existing yarn and bring it all the way up to the first stitch. Then when I purl with the new color, a couple rows, it (where the new yarn is attached) sags like it's weighing it down.

Any answers would be appreciated..Thanks in advance.

When adding a new skein you should knit or purl only 2 or 3 stitches with both strands. At the top of the page you will see a tab called view videos. You might want to look through all the wonderful video's we have available.
