At the top of the page look for a tab called Glossary.

You are right, it is in the glossary, but not with instructions on how to do it. Maybe it is a yo, but the glossary doesn't say...

It's another way of writing a YO into a pattern. It means yarn forward, and is done between 2 knit stitches. When you do that then work the next stitch (which might be a slip st or k2 tog depending on the pattern) it makes a YO.
