Hey all! This is the first finished object I've ever posted here. This scarf was the first 'lace' project I'd ever finished and the first thing I've ever blocked. I only had one ball of yarn so it's a little short, but I learned you can really get a lot of stretch out of stuff by blocking!
Pattern: I adapted this pattern - I think I cast on 24 stitches insteaad of 18 and I used much smaller needles (maybe size 8?). Very easy and reversible and I thought it looks nice with the prett self-striping yarn. I think it's interesting that my scarf looks so different than the one shown with the pattern.

Yarn: Rowan Tapestry (Rustic color)
I definitely still have a lot to learn though - on one side of the scarf you can see how the edge is a little 'wavy' from being pinned to my ironing board. I think I need to use a stiffer sort of string to weave through each side for blocking and maybe pin the scarf to the bed instead of the ironing board next time. I also had trouble weaving in the ends (which you can see in the second picture) but I think I finally got them to stay by trying to 'hand felt' the ends into the scarf between my fingers. If they poke out again I'll go try to find some FrayStop.
