I feel so jealous of you for getting it done! My Egeblad is in hibernation
waiting for some cooler evenings. I just can't sit under that wooly

Thank you, Libbie. I really enjoyed this project! It was my first lace work - and I can't believe that it wasn't harder than it was.... considering when you look at it, it looks like it must have taken months and tons of hard work, it actually worked up pretty fast (as least until about row 50, that is)

Anyway, my grapevine sweater is in hibernation.... I can hear it calling to me.... lynn.... lynnnnnn.... over here......... hehehe, but I completely understand the 'too hot to work on THAT project' mentality!

I have to go to romni to see if they have pins and then I can block mine.... I'll post an image when completely finished.

(I also have to check out minou's blocking thread again, just to refresh it in my mind!)

Been away and knitting a few other projects before I get to another lace project. But working on a Neibling as well, and have about 30 more rounds to go. I hope I have enough yarn.

I finished another blanket and it's blocking today. It's nowhere near as complex as Kometenstern, but I love how delicate and simple it is. If this pattern were ever readily available, it would be a great one for beginners to these blankets. As it is, you need to sell your soul on eBay to get the magazine since it's also full of Niebling designs.

You've been busy, Minou! Those are stunning! AND, I love the colors! I always thought this type of work should be done in neutrals, but not anymore! Now, looking through my stash to start the Hemlock, I'm looking at all my colored yarns as well!

I still have NOT blocked my Egeblad (or the Spiralen I finished as well), but I will post pics when I do! I promise.

This blanket, Kometenstern and Alita were all made as gifts. I asked my friends what color made them the happiest and then bought the yarn that matched their favorite color. I don't think Kometenstern would have looked as good in a lighter color, so there was a little picking and choosing when it came to the patterns, but it all worked out in the end. I'm really happy with all three of them and can't wait to gift them. I'm moving in less than two weeks and these are reverse going away presents for my three closest friends here.

It seems like I've been busy, but these took me ages! I started Kometenstern in early JUNE and the pink blanket in late June. I diverted off into BSJ's again for a while there. If I weren't moving so soon, they'd probably still be hibernating somewhere.

Now that it's getting cooler, I'm getting the urge to knit more again!
