I'm knitting a teddy bear..

and I can't for the life of me find where to buy black plastic eyes! I've looked online, but seem to only come up with foreign sites in my Google searches. I've gone to my local craft stores as well, and they only have glue-on googley eyes. Ideally, I'm looking for 5mm black safety eyes. Does anyone know of a good website to buy affordable soft toy parts? (eyes, noses, etc). Thank you all in advance for any sort of direction you can give me! <3

Try Joann's craft stores. It is really great that you are doing such a fun project =)
I've been doing some amigurumi dolls myself. I live near 3 Joann stores and 2 Michaels Arts & Crafts stores and only one out of the whole bunch carries the eyes you are looking for and that I use. In my area, it urks me to no end that I have to drive 40 some odd minutes to pick up plastic eyes when I have the same store closer to me in the opposite direction (only, wouldn't you know it, the one closest to me doesn't carry the eyes).

Michaels has them where the supplies are to make dolls. They have eyes and other parts.

Hobby Lobby has the eyes with the doll parts. I've bought my basic black eyes there and got a set of 3 for 99 cents or so.

Would they not be able to order them, or get them from the other store for you? It might be worth asking, if ou haven't!

Or you might be able to order online and have them delivered to the store closest to you (saves shipping!)

Michaels has them...but I am not a fan....

Mary Maxim carries them too, I should imagine any good craft store will have them...
