Substitute yarn for Debbie Bliss Cotton DK?

Does any one know what I could substitute for Debbie Bliss Cotton DK? I want to make on of her cable coats and since it;s my first cable project I'd like to try it with something cheaper. It's 100% cotton and the gauge is 20sts/4" on size 6.

So far the only thing I have found is Rowan cotton but that isn't any cheaper!!

UPDATE: The above was the official gauge at yarndex. The gauage she gives for he sweater is 20 sts and 29 rows in a 4" square with size 7. She says that it is slightly thicker than a standard double knitting weight.

if you're willing to do make your project in turquoise or tangerine orange little knits has it on sale for $2.92 a skein.

Thanks Susan, I saw that. he problem is I need at least 20 skeins and they don't have that many.

To answer my own question I think I found a substitute. Elan Organic cotton. It is supposed to knit 20 sts/4" on size 7. It was $3 a skein. I just went ahead and bought a bunch. Now fingers crossed!!
