June 14. Do you all have these in your cities? A couple of our yarn shops are organizing them here. I know one is downtown under the Arch and the other is later in the day in another part of the city. St. Louis knitters--are any of you participating in our events? We should meet up and sknit near each other. How fun!

Never heard of such a thing, what a shame that doesn't exist here...
It's actually Worldwide Knit in Public Day, and people all over the world are organizing events. You might check around to see if anything is happening in your area.
if there is nothing already organised in your town then you could always organise somthing ... i;m too shy too though (to arange somthing not to knit in public)
I heard of knitting at the ball game day this must be similar. I wiil make that a knitting day even if I can't be at one.

Found two kip events for belgium, but they're too far away from me... I could ask at the LYS, if I ever get there again (first I have to use up all the 21 skeins I bought last time, for the granny afghan... damn....)
But as I said, I never heard of such a thing, and I'm not the one to host a kip either... :(
