seaming bamboo tape

I am all ready to sew the seams of a top I made with 100% bamboo tape yarn. I am not so sure it will be a good one to sew up with. It will not break or anything, but it is wide and may not be best. Any other ideas of what to use?

maybe crochet thread in the same color?

I am glad you asked this because I am close to finishing a sweater in cotton/nylon ribbon thread and have been pondering what to seam it with as well.
