Well, I never give up my chili recipe (it's won a couple of chili cook offs) but suffice it to say there's a half dozen different kinds of peppers, several different spices, and lots of meat, beans, and assorted other little goodies.

If it doesn't make your forehead sweat it isn't good chili

Mason,the cookoffs I entered didn't allow beans. I LIKE beans in my chili! My days of eating super hot foods are over, but I can still get high on the fumes.

I've never been to one that doesn't allow beans. Chili without beans is just...wrong.

Yeah, I want to know what bent is, also. I can't eat beans because of Ulcertive Collitis. I like my chili without it, but it's definitely not soupy.
