Beet water....
I cooked up some beets recently and saved the water (about 2 cups worth). I have some white/off-white recycled, cotton/cotton-blend yarns. Any point in putting the two together? Any testing, prepping? If I attempt any dyeing I want to keep the process as simple as possible. (I recall lionbrand.com had some basic info on dyeing with foods altho quite often the yarn of choice is wool and I don't work with that.)

Any feedback appreciated.

Thanks for the links. The beet dyeing article involving her son's science experiment was interesting and enlightening. Yes, given the intense coloring and staining ability of beets one would expect much better results. Guess I'll just toss my beet water.
