How do you roll a hank into a ball?
So far the yarn I've gotten has been in skeins, but I just got lace weight yarn in a hank. I must not get how these things wind together because in trying to roll it into a ball it's become a horrible knotted mess! Help!

you have to put it on something to hold it. You can get or make a swift. Use the back of a chair, some people use their feet, or someone else's hands.

I don't really know how bad it is now, but if you can put what is not tangled on something (like the back of a chair) to keep it from getting worse and then just work through the tangled part.

I use the over the chair, too. But came across this swift the other day. I think I might try it out..

Ugh! I finally got it all untangled. It took FOREVER! I was using my knees but that did not work out very well! I had to cut it twice, which stunk. Learning experience I guess. Knots in lace weight yarn are impossible.
