Creating a pattern
I'm working on making a pattern for a baby bonnet. I didn't find any that had what I wanted to I'm using several to make up my own.

I was wondering, I would like to make it available to everyone, but how much changes do I need to make for it not to be infringing on copy right?

I've used like 5 different patterns to help me make this one.

Thanks so much!

In jewelry you have to change something 30% (whatever that means) to avoid infringement. I know that's not really helpful but it's the guideline we used.
Good luck!

the owner of a lys near me, said you only need to change ONE thing. I don't know if this is true or not. Maybe we have a copyright expert here that will answer your question, lol!
But, whatever the answer is....I'd love to see your bonnet when you are done!

Jen that's just what I was hoping for.

I have changed more than 30%, I'd say at least 1/2.

I will post pics and the pattern. Still working out kinks in it.
