Turning heel question
I asked this in another forum, but I'm a bit impatient, so I'll ask here too. I'm knitting the Zombie Socks pattern (I can't find my link right now, but I'll add it when I find it). I'm not entirely sure of what to do on Row 3 of the instructions I've written below:

Row 1: Knit 17, ssk, k1, turn
Row 2: Sl 1, purl 3, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 3: Sl 1, knit to within 1 of gap, ssk, k1, turn
Row 4: Sl 1, purl to within 1 of gap, p2tog, p1, turn
etc...

Okay, when it says to 'knit to within 1 of gap' does that mean I stop with 1 left before the turn, or what? This is how I interpret it, but I'm not sure. It's because I can't find a gap that I'm not sure. If I look at the previous row of instructions, I think it would be Sl 1, k4, ssk, k1, turn?

Also, not sure if I should do w&t or not?

Yep it would be one before the gap...you would take the one before the gap and the one after and do the decrease...then K1 and turn...you don't wrap on this type of heel ...and most of the time you do just add one in number if you can't find the gap

Thanks!! If I had been able to find the gap (not sure why not...) I wouldn't have questioned myself. I knew what I was doing, until the gap was non-existent LOL

I do that all the time...question myself ...I think sometimes it's hard to see the gap just after 2 rows...I can't wait to see the socks
