FO-Glamour Shawl for knitworthy kid!!
So here is the first knitted gift requested by Jenna the little girl I talked about in the General Discussion thread who appreciates and loves knitted gifts. She saw this on my ravelry page for my best friends daughter and loved it. I told her it was the easiest and fastest of the things she liked so I would do it first. And it's just in time for her sister's graduation party.

I made it with lion brands fun fur in rasberry. Its eve from Knitty winter 2003. the modifications I made were I double stranded throughout, for sturdier construction, so her fingers wouldn't get caught. I also used size 11 needles to make it less stretchy and also get a sturdier construction. I also used hook and eye closure hidden beneath the ribbon to help it stay on.

I can actually model it because even though she is only 7 she is 3 inches shorter than me. She is so tall!!!!! She will totally be taller than me by christmas so I made it to fit me so she can wear it longer.

Turned out very nicely. I think the changes you made sound like a good idea. Lovely gift.

It looks so cute. She will love it and it does look great on you too. Grab a little black dress and go out and get some compliments on it before you give it away. LOL
