My Mom has Stage I Lung Cancer
That is the hardest thing I've ever had to type in my life. She and I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers. She is scheduled for a lobectomy on June 16. As far they can tell through preliminary testing, the cancer has not spread to the lymph nodes or the chest wall. The doctors will know more once they get in her chest cavity.
She is not in the best of health (diabetes, artery diease, 3 coronary by-passes, etc), but her cardiologist, pulmonary physician and surgeon think she will be able to tolerate the surgery.
So if you can spare a prayer, I'd be grateful.

That's horrible news. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family that your mom pulls through surgery well.
