This is #13 Classic Baby Cardigan from vogue Knitting Spring/Summer 2007, done in Mei Mei Bamboo in cherry Blossom size 2 and 3 needles. and the booties are double stranded in the same yarn, and the pattern is Baby Mary Jane by Lucie Sinkler. They are for my co-worker who is having a summer girl baby. So I thought bamboo would be a good substitute than the cashmere called for. Let me know what you think.
They are absolutely gorgeous.
The cardigan looks a bit A-line, which looks so cute on babies.
She's going to be thrilled to bits.
I haven't ever investigated bamboo yarn, but it certainly looks nice
for these pieces.
Well done

Yes the cardigan is A-line. bamboo has wicking qualities which will do well in San Diego esp since the mother lives a bit inland where it gets a bit hot. San Diego is basically a desert climate.
Nice. A good idea to use the bamboo, it will be nice for the heat, but washing is not real baby friendly. :-) I made my DD something for her baby that needed to be hand washed too though.
