Create a Quillow
Well I posted this on the general forum here http://www.knittinghelp.com/knitting...hlight=quillow

I was thinking since there isn't one set pattern, why don't we all take the basic idea and create one. THEN when we're done we can share what we came up with. We could see how they all look alike OR different.

Want to create a quillow with me?

Alexis

It is a great idea. I don't know if I have it in me to knit a blanket to go in the pillow, though.

I'd like to. I love the idea of a quillow.

...I'm just not that good yet. Gotta make a few more projects before tackling something as big as that.
I do want to make a big warm blanket at some point, and when I get there I'll most likely do a quillow now.

It's a fabulous idea!

THanks for the links and very useful info. I have a great idea that I am going to work on. Hopefully this won't take long, as we are going camping this weekend and I know that it will come in handy. When I am done I will post some pictures. I have put a little spin on the afghan...I hope that it works out!!

Don't know where I'm going wrong, but that link doesn't lead to anything that tells me what a quillow is. What, pray tell, is a quillow?

Quilt that folds up into its own pillow (part of the quilt).

And if you have cold feet, you just tuck those tooties into the pocket part, while snuggled under the blanket.

I think it's a great idea. But for once google hasn't been very helpful. Just about all the patterns it lists are for sewing. I did see one for crochet, which I bookmarked but have not examined yet. Maybe it's too new a term, and a search later on will bring up more patterns. Unfortunately, my not knowing the term does not mean it's new -- just means that I don't keep up.
