Hi I need help with the above pattern in the assembly section, it says to mattress stitches as well use the diagram, mattress stitch requires sewing the pieces together and diagram requires knitting. WHat am I supposed to do? knit or sew?

It's telling you to look at the diagram for the locations of A and B, just use the mattress stitch.

It means to refer to the diagram to see which are edges A and B; you'll sew those edges together.

Are you referring to this line:

Quote:
Assembly: Sew A and B tog at both sides with invisible mattress stitches. See diagram.
If so, you're to sew the pieces but refer to the diagram for where the sides are located on the piece you made. (Some might be confused given the shape.) I don't see any ref to 'knitting the pieces together.'

I've just re-read the instructions.. I think they got a bit ahead of themselves. that sentence on the diagram should've been inlcuded in the next section only.

Thanks for all your help

A YO is just like doing a knit st only the right needle is not inserted into a stitch on the left needle. the instructions read: "make a yo + slip a st as if to knit"
So you yo normally and slip the next st knitwise.
