Seat cover for truck

My brother really wants a seat cover for the seat of his trucks. He doesn't always have the same one, and unfortunately, some are not as clean as they should be from other drivers. From what I've heard him say, he'd be fine with just a throw to put on them, so it's easier to take with him when he changes trucks.

I don't however, want a really involved thing. Made with bulky and a very loose stitch. Of course now that I think of it, it can't be too "lacy" either or what's the point?

Anyone have an idea?

Never thought about knitting seat covers.

DH wanted seat covers for his van and I sewed some out of old jeans. I used the rear end pockets on the back of the seat so the back seat passengers have the small pockets for small item storage.

What about just using a good bulky yarn and knit it all in garter? You could just knit it as one long rectangle wide enough for his seat. and add some icord ties to tie it in place.
