If you love the Beatles......
If you love the Beatles (John, Paul (sigh), George and Ringo)
and grew up during the Vietnam War.. don't miss the movie "Across the Universe" ..the songs are so great to hear again , and the story tells it like it was..I saw it at the movies and we just rented it again..
I think I'm gonna buy the soundtrack..
It is such a creative movie..

That's a great movie! Bobi1218 recommended it to me. Any other Beatles buffs here??

I was lucky enough to watch, Love, in Vegas when I was there this past November. If you are there it's a must see.

Across the Universe is AMAZING! The directing, singing, acting, and choreography of this movie were so well done. I grew up listening to the Beatles on car rides with my parents, and they will always be one of my all-time favorite bands. This movie is such a treat!

I heard about that "Love" show in Las Vegas.. I would LOVE to see it..
It's cirque de solee isn't it? I hope it stays there for a while..

One thing I noticed about the songs in the movie.. they are not the most famous songs they had..so I hadn't heard them in a long time..
Like "It won't be long" and "close you eyes and I'll kiss you , tomorrow I'll miss you" ahh they don't make em like that anymore
and "If I fell in love with you would you promise to be true.." I sing along and try to harmonize and I remember ALL THE WORDS!! My husband just taped "Hard Days Night" cause we had so much fun singing along.. but we haven't watched that yet..

The Beatles are my absolute favorite band and I just watched Across the Universe this past weekend. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was really good. I thought the cast did a great job with the songs and I think it's a nice way to introduce a new generation to one of the most influential bands ever.
