i haven't posted in a while but i've been a slighty busy bee..heh

Foxyie, I love the colours in the bottom picture, the one that had been plyed with white. When you have knitted something with it can we have another pic?

thanks so much lulubell! if you are referring to the merino yarn on the first page.. i actually sold that yarn so i won't have the pleasure of knitting with it..buuuut i did hang on to some bfl i dyed at the same time so i may end up spinning it the same way

it's been a little while since anyone else posted in this thread.. what's on everyones spindles and wheels these days?

I've got some sox yarn I b plying on the wheel. My spindle is full of laceweight singles (waiting for the wheel so I can put em on a bobbin so I can ply em later) Just got done with 160 yards of chain-plied dk weight yarn. (gonna make some hats n stuff). I've got about 500 yards of laceweight for my mom's stole. And about another 180 yards of worsted weight singles looking for something to do.

I ditto mullerslanefarm. I have Deb Deluxe and love it! I have a burnishing brush but also have a drum brush which helps make a more compact batt.

There is a drum brush available for a PG Deb's Deluxe??

I know what I want for Christmase!!

This is what I've been busy with the last couple weeks
I've been busy knitting up mitts and hats and scarves from some previously spun yarn but managed to get some new skeins spun.
From roving I picked up at the Fiber in the Park last weekend:
4 oz Colonial (still have 4 oz I'm spinning now to ply with):




2 oz mixed wools:


And from a member of the craftster.com Funky Batts, I spun up & knitted:

I just got in 2 more of her Funky Batts and am excited to spin them up!!
From the raw dorset fleece, (that won best of class at MSWF this year), I spun (raw) then knit these and tea dyed:



I'm spinning up the rest of the burgandy Colonial to ply with the first skein. It might become a Baby Surprise Sweater.

Also knitting up some cabled mittens with more of the Dorset
