FO - Booga Bag for a Friend
This is the fourth Black Sheep Booga Bag I've made...two for myself, one for my sister, and this latest one for a friend i used to work with.

I used Noro Kureyon, color #149, which I purchased during my Vegas trip.

I love, love, love the colors. After it dried, I realized that it wasn't sitting up properly, so I threw it back in the machine for a second round of felting. I'm much happier with it now.

Thanks for looking!

Yours is really beautiful! Love the colors and the way it felted.

Mine has to be cut down, because the shape is wrong. I was going to do it tomorrow, but we're baby sitting instead.

You've made four, is there a fifth coming out soon?

I've actually been thinking about it. I wasn't super pleased with the way my sister's came out (it was a Christmas present). I'm thinking that I might make her a blue one out of Patons SWS. I've had my eye on a colorway for a while, and I think the blue would be a good color for her.

We'll see...

Thank you for the nice comments. They make me feel like I'm on cloud nine.

OH YUMMY! I love NORO...and I love this new colorway you used! Thanks for sharing the info!

The BOOGA BAG is wonderfu! Those browns and mocha colors really distributed nicely! Maybe this is the BOOGA BAG I will make for 'yours truly'! I haven't seen a color combo that inspires me to make a bag for me....til now!

Thanks for sharing! And adding to my list of TO DO's!

That is a great looking bag.

My DH just came home with 3 skeins of Noro Iro yesterday. A department store near his work was having a half price sale and he thought I would like it. So I have just cast on for my first Booga bag.

did you do as the instructions said and just poke a dpn through the fibers after felting and make a hole. I was not sure and thought I might buy them little silver metal rings to make the opening for the handle stronger. (Sorry can't remember what they are called)

Grommets is the word I think you're looking for.

I have never used them, and I've made several of these bags. I use mine all the time too, and the straps have held up well. I do follow the instructions about poking the needles through to make the hole. I have to work it a bit to make the hole a bit larger...just enough to tuck the straps through. Because of the felting, the yarn is incredibly strong and resilient.

Good luck! I can't wait to see your finished product!
