omg how much have i just spent lol
and i dont care either .

i just bought a cable scarf kit, looks georgous. aim to learn cable whilst making the boyfriend a scarf.
12 50g balls of different colour dk 100% wool to make felted bags
and the one i'm most excited about, 15 sets of bamboo circular needlers for under 15

just spent well over 100, think i'm going to be murdered but happy though .

oh i should never ever have descovered how much better 'good' yarn is than cheapy stuff. such a bad idea

Yah!! Good for you-the bamboo circs sound like a particularly good deal! And I love cable scarves-sounds pretty!

LOL- hopefully no murders will occur and besides, this should keep you busy for quite awhile, right?

I've been knitting from stash so that I can get more stash soon. I've been eyeing knitpicks and littleknits and some other stores. Where did you order from?

scarf kit is from angelyarn.com, if you go onto the homepage and scroll down to just about the bottom you will see a scarily priced kit (40 nearly including p&p, yike, but my boyfriend fell in love with it, so its a suprise for him as i've told him i wont make it )

the 100% wool is from newlanark.co.uk, its cheap and cheerful wool i hope, its just for felting a bag so hope it works. but at 1 per skein its not so scary if its not what i want for that.

the needles are a great deal i think as well, bamboo-knitting-centre.com, i havent used bamboo needles before so kinda hope i get on with them now i've bought 15 sets.

i have never bought any yarn before otehr than cheapy stuff until 2 weeks ago, now bitten by the good yarn bug

the stash will grow bigger still

But it's useful spending. The scarf is gift and the needles and yarn will last a lifetime. I can always justify knitting materials.

Enjoy!

Thats funny you said that - when my daughter taught me to knit, I told her, I'm just sticking with the cheap stuff. She couldnt even explain to me the thought of investing so much in yarn. Now - oh man - why am I drawn to the most expensive yarns a yarn store has? No one can explain it until you work with the yarns & you can feel the difference!
