Here we go again!
Hi everyone...Just when you thought you were done with me...LOL...Can anyone help me understand these instructions? They are row 2 of the row 1 that you all helped me with yesterday....I should be increasing in this row to the original 111 cast on sts. Row 1, I decreased to 93...now in row 2, I have to increase back to 111...
K1, *p1, k4, (k1,yo,k1) in next st, k4; rep from *, end p1,k1
Where do I do the yo? Thanks!! Linda

it sounds to me like you go k1 p1 k4 then in the next stitch you knit1, yarn over, knit 1, all into one stitch, do you see what i mean, then you k4 and repeat between the stars.

would this give you 2 increases at once though I wonder, best try out and see
good luck!

Hi, I thought that was right, too....but, I need to increase by 18 sts. So, unless I'm reading it wrong, that won't give me the 18 sts that I need!

No, you're okay, it's works: you knit 1 at the beginning of the row, and then finish it with purl 1, knit 1. So that takes care of 3 sts, so now you have 90 left. The pattern is over 10 sts-- purl 1, knit 4, increase twice in the next sts, and then knit 4-- and in each of those 10 sts, you increase by 2 sts. That will fit into 90 nine times, and 9 X 2 increases = 18. Got it?

Just take the row, stitch by stitch. K1, p1, k4, then in the next st, k1, YO, k1, all in that one st. Then k4 and repeat starting from the p st.

Repeat, means to keep repeating that sequence of sts all the way across the row, not just do it one more time.

No...I meant that I've tried it that way 2x and have had to tear it out 2x!! I repeated all the way through the row!

Breathe! Calm down, and do it again, stitch by st. Make sure you do indeed start at 93 sts. The k1, YO, k1, is done in one st, making 3 sts from it. So again, start at the beginning of the row, and count the sts in each repeat, see where you went wrong. It may make it easier if you put st markers on for each repeat.
