I truly am sorry for taking so long with the Crayola blanket. I didn't realize I had so much holiday knitting to do! I'm going to finish it today so I need the address of the next knitter so I can hopefully get it in the mail tomorrow.

I have completed the first section of Winter Wonderland. I still need to make the card... but as soon as I can get to that, it will be ready to mail. Let me know if the next knitter is ready. I think it is Sandy.

I noticed that we didn't have any pictures of Crayola on the blog so I thought I would take a couple to add.

It's ready to get mailed as soon as I get the next knitters address.

I have a suggestion...

Once we finish our section of a blanket, can we please weave in our own ends... I spent about 15 minutes weaving in ends today before I started working on a blanket. I noticed in the picture of the Crayon blanket that blkirback posted, there are yarn ends everywhere. In my opinion, if everyone leaves a tail hanging...they get in the way while knitting. And it would really make it a lot easier for the last knitter or the person that adds a border if we would weave in our own ends. I think the only end that should be hanging when we get a blanket, is the end that we should be adding too. I am not trying to offend anyone... I just think it would make things goes alot smoother... and that way one person is not weaving in the ends for everyone.

Sorry we are in the middle of moving and I was packing most of the day yesterday and loading up today... just now seeing your posts. I'll check with the next knitter now.

I think we can all try to do that, but it's easy to forget, just like taking a picture of it is easy to forget. And I usually leave a long tail after weaving in the ends so that with all the movement and going in and out the the bag and being mailed several times that it does start to pop through. I've had that happen to my own things and it's a bear to work with then.

Don't worry, MAmaDawn!! We understand how crazy moving is!! Especially this close to Christmas!!!

I am so excited about all the progress being made on the blankets! That means it will be my turn soon!!!! Woo Hoo!!

Good idea, Kelly, about weaving in the ends! I just learned that lesson with my mini stockings!! It was a BAD idea to wait and do them at the end of the project!!! :-)
