I'm in the Dallas area as well! I'm a grandma of a most precious 1 year old baby girl and now have an empty nest at home. I've been praying for something like this to come along and I found mention of the oddball blankets on a blog and followed her links here (she's not SW though).

Anyway, I'm ready, willing and able!!!

I live down the road in Abilene, what a small world. Along with my "mad skillz" I crochet and spin. I started out doing the borders on the odd ball baby/preemie blankets. I have had so much fun with those and I know this will be just as fun.

Good luck with all your blankets for charity, Southwest Region!
And remember to be good to your new leader.

Mamapaulsel & Secksiebrat -

Have the blankets been shipped yet?

We have a few others that have joined our team that were led here via blogland. I will be posting blanket volunteer opportunities via here and the blog in order to reach everyone.

I'm trying to think of ideas for our next blankets. Any suggestions?

:thinking...thinking...thinking: :trying not to hurt myself: We could do a Strawberry Short Cake with Pink Red and white or GIJoe in greens browns and blacks for a little boy.

I like the Strawberry Shortcake idea. And keeping with the early 80's character flashback, how about Rainbow Brite?
