Just a thought:
Can we just send 'empty' needles to the person starting the blankets? I agree that probably anyone who agrees to start a blanket would more than likely not mind knitting a complete section, and also just ask that they use garter stitch of 6 rows first before going into their pattern stitch. Then also just ask the same of the knitter of the last section; that they finish their section with 6 rows of garter and cast off. That way it will still give enough people (six) a chance to work on each blanket and there will be 6 complete, 4 inch sections rather than 6 complete sections plus one tiny section of a different color.

Just trying to suggest something to cover all of the concerns that were posted.

Plum Pudding in Washington
I received Plum Pudding this afternoon. I'm debating between 2 colors right now but will get started on it soon. Tania, thanks for the calendar, I really like lighthouses. It is really a pretty blanket! Becky

Olympic Rings
Olympic Rings needs someone to do the black ring. Going in order of ring colors this is #3. I have the following knitters and colors:

1. Background - White - purlingkitten
2. Blue - krismorales
3. Yellow - mesaverde
4. Black - needs knitter

For the olympic rings, is it just going to be stripes in the colors of the olympic rings? or does it require Inarstia to make the actual rings?
