Thanks. I needed that. YOu are right. The ones I have done are really nice and I am learning some new stitch patterns just doing them. So I am challenging myself.

Sue I think that's why I like socks so much, they're like a big wearable swatch, you can do most any stitch pattern on-just like dishcloths. Enjoy the ones you do & know that you have 2 you didn't have before. Of the 5 I've made I got to keep 1 sofar. Go figure. Besides it's a KAL you're just supposed to enjoy yourself.

I totally agree! This is not a competition. It's a challenge to get some of that cotton yarn knit up (so we can buy more yarn!!!).

I finished my sixth dishcloth early this morning. I'll post pictures a bit later.

This is the dishcloth I finished earlier. The pattern is called Shapely Diamond, from the same booklet I've made the other cloths from. The yarn is Sugar 'n Cream, and the color is Ecru.

The only thing I'm competing against is my cotton yarn stash and it will be soundly defeated!!

My brother saw the work I did on my other dishcloths and requested one with a Jets (the football team!) theme, so I'll be casting it on this evening.

For a moment, I was foolishly considering knitting up a bunch of dishcloths for my co-workers for Christmas, but have thankfully come to my senses. Not only would that require more cotton yarn, it would also mean taking the chance on knitting something for someone who may not appreciate all the hard work and love that goes into it.

Nathalie - I your Shapely Diamond! It looks great and the color really works well with it. I also really liked the cubed one you posted earlier.

Uploading photos
I know I saw on here how to upload photos but now I can't find it. At least I have my dishcloths on my digital camera. Progress. Can anyone direct me to the place where this is explained.

I completed another dishcloth last night...while watching Michael Phelps win his 7th gold medal!

This is called Papillon (Butterfly) Cloth. The pattern is located here. I used I Love This Cotton (sold in Hobby Lobby), and the color is Buttercup.
