That blanket can also be duplicate stitched. I actually think duplicate stitch would look better when completed, but that is a personal matter. I looked at your blocks. Did you just make plain blocks and need to put all the pictures on, or did you possibly use intarsia to do, say the firetruck in red and just have to put the details with other colors? If you have to do all of it you really have a big job ahead of you. Some folks love that sort of thing though. I hope you do. :-)
You can Google duplicate stitch too. It looks more like the pictures have been knit right on.
