Row 1 (right side)
Hullo!

I'm a total beginner, looking at instructions for making dishcloths, and I'm just curious about why the instructions are written this way:

"Row 1 (right side):
Knit.

Rows 2 through 6:
Knit."

Why doesn't it just say to knit rows 1-6? Is that what I'm meant to do?

Thanks in advance,
Mary.

Yes you do knit all those 6 rows. The pattern is just letting you know Row 1 and all odd numbered rows are the RS and later on you may have to do a different stitch on the RS. So tie another piece of yarn or put a safety pin on a stitch in the middle of row 1 so you know which it is when the pattern changes.
