Cast-On question - Stitch Diva "Sahara" pattern
Hello, knitters!
Just for reference, I'm working on a sweater using this pattern: http://www.stitchdiva.com/ProductInf...ductid=SDS-031
After doing stockinette stitch for a number of inches, the pattern tells me to cast on 3 stitches at the beginning of the next two rows. I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to do this .... Is there a video on this site that tells you how to cast on stitches in the middle of the work?
Thanks!

Since it's only 3 stitches, you could use the backward loop cast on, but personally I don't like that cast on method much (always gets so loose and floppy w/extra yarn). I'd use a knitted or cable cast on.

You'd actually do them at the end of the row, then they'd be the first stitches you'd knit on the next row.

Yes, a knit or cable CO works. Put the needle into your left hand, then imagine you've already CO those sts and add 3 more. So that really is the beginning of the row. Then knit or purl them and the rest of the sts.

Thanks for the advice, I'll look up the knitted cast-on video.
