looking for a lace wrap/scarf/stole (intricate)
I'm looking for a lace project. I've got some skeins of mercmerised acrylic (doesn't feel like acrylic at all), but they are white, so a top or sweater is out of the questions, since I don't look good in white. That's why I want to knit a lace wrap or scarf or stole or whatherver (just as long as I can wrap it around myself when I'm cold or when I want to look nice), but I really want something not to easy. I've already got something stockinette stitch on my needles, so I need something to safe me from the boredom.

Which patterns have you knitted and do you suggest. I prefer free patterns, since I'm a bit tight on money.

How about that one

I just ordered some yarn to knit it, and I don't think it's too easy...
If you think it's too easy, how about this one...

Membership to Patons' site is the only way to download the last pattern, it is free and quick.

There are lots of shawls, stoles and bolero/shrugs at elann.com. Knitty.com has quite a few too.

Thanks a lot all! I totally love the heirloom shawl, but I can't become a member, I get an error. I think I'll contact them about that. I like laminara as well, so if the heirloom shawl won't work, I'll knit that one.

Thanks a lot for your help!
