Help with Interweave Braided Pullover

Hi, My name is Lisa and I am new to this site. I was hoping someone has made the braided pullover in the fall interweave 2008. I am having difficulty with page 199 row 2 & 3 of the 2nd coulumn. When I knit the cable on the WS it does not bring me to the side that the pattern says. Very confusing....anyone have any ideas?
I am not even sure if I am posting this in the right place.
