Hi Christine, I'd be interested in doing some Oddball Crocheted Blankets if we can get a group together. Let me know...

TY Pam. We will need 6 crocheters plus 1 to do the border. Also we need to decide on what size of blanket we want to do and where we want them to be donated. Some places have very exact sizes and specifications.

Shandeh PM'ed me the sizes for different blankets depending on if we wnat to do preemie or baby size.

You answered all my questions without my asking! I hope others will join us. I'm always crocheting blankets to donate, and it would be fun to do some as a group. The knit ones are so lovely. Where are they donated?

When we where doing the knitted ones they went to a hospital out in/near St. Louis, MO ( I think this sounds right) Snowbear delivered all of the wonderful blankets and Shandeh was the mastermind behind it all.

Since we are now divided into regions on the knitted Odd Balls they go to various hospital. The South West region is donating their blankets to HAIN and the West cost is donating to different hospitals. (I work with both of these groups)

What a great idea! On crochetville.com, I think they do one where people send in granny squares from all over, and someone connects them to finish an afghan (or lapghan, or whatever...) I'd like to participate, but I'm a lefty, so that would be confusing for the next person to continue (unless, of course we were ALL lefties).

no it will work out as I'm a lefty. the person would just attach the yarn at the opposite end from what we do.

How many crocheters do you have now? I'm new to the oddball blankets and wondered how long each crocheter would keep the blanket?

I have 2-3 crocheters right now.

Each person would have 2 weeks to work on the blanket then it would go to the next person.

I would like to participate, please. I always admired my friend, Auburnchick, for the ones she was knitting and would like to do the same for crocheting.
