Dye tutorial

I'm going crazy! I think it was in one of Knit Pick's catalogs where they had a very nice tutorial about dyeing yarn yourself, not so much about the process of how to dye, but how to apply the dye to get the final results that you want (for example, stripes, gradual color change, etc.). I looked around on Knit Picks site and wasn't able to find what I was looking for. Does anybody else remember seeing something like this? Was it in fact Knit Picks?
