Hi,
Well, I got the yarn, printed out the pattern, have my needles and I'm sitting here now wondering how many YOU cast on for your blanket, lol! I know you say multiplies of 5 plus 2, but it is hard to figure out by looking at the picture, can you get back to me as soon as you get this...in the mean time I'll start to cast on, LOL!

Knit a sample. CO a bunch of sts (20-30) and knit a couple rows, then start the stitch pattern. Work for about 2-3 inches, figure out how many sts/inch you have. Multiply that by how many inches you want and include some edge sts.

Thanks Sue, I had gotten as far as 70 sts, lol, so I ripped them back and I'm starting now, Thanks for getting back to me so quickly!

I did all four rows of the pattern and it looks good, but I'm worried that I might not be doing the yarn over from a purl stitch correctly

When I'm done with the purl stitch the yarn is in front. Am I lifting the yarn over the needle and around so the yarn is back in front and then purl again?

Hi Jen ! Sorry i have not been on . I did not think this thread would surface again lol.
After a purl stitch you have to wrap the yarn around the needle for the YO .

Also I cast on 192 st on mine. I wanted it bigger . And the pattern makes the blanket look smaller ,that is why i added so many stitches .

I'm new to this party, and just ran across this thread. Wow, that's beautiful! Thanks for the instructions, also. It wasn't what I expected from looking at the finished product! Looks pretty, not too hard to do.

I see you said you used 192 stitches - what were the finished measurements? (Sorry if you said and I missed it!)

I'm making scarves, and this pattern would be beautiful on a scarf as well!

Hi ,
I am glad you like it . This was a little blanket to cover the baby in the pram . with 192st it measures 26 in wide and 28 in high .
