knit scarf with beads

Hi everyone
I saw a knitted scarf that had beads in sections at the bottom of the scarf. the sections started with a certain number of beads and then each row after had less and less until gone. I know that the beads were threaded on at the begining and that the scarf was made in 2 sections then joined later. It made the bottom of the scarf look flaired. Any ideas out there? ---Thank you
