@Katie--if you're buying the yarn for a charity project, it doesn't even count!

I must admit, I bought some too. But I really just couldn't resist this deal:

http://www.elann.com/productdisp.asp...Type=5&Count=3

(They are out of the color I picked).

But, I do have a plan for it-a friend and I are going to crochet a sweater together (this will be my first crocheted sweater).

And I have been steaming along on my other goal-to get all my WIPS finished up. I only have one old one left.

Wow! That is a fantastic stash-busting accomplishment!

Thanks -- I'm being selfish, though, because I just want an easy Carry with Me Project that doesn't end up with homeless FOs.

That is so cool that you are doing a "CAL" with your friend! That is deifnitely yarn well-purchased and should not count against stash busting.

Does it count if you buy yarn with gift money? I want to spend my christmas money on line shopping.....

I did destash 3 skeins of random stuff today. My bosses 6yo daughter came over to learn to knit so I gave her some practice yarn. That counts!!!

I was bad and bought 3 hanks of Cascade 220 for a project that my friend asked me to knit. I did a norwegian star ear flap hat and now am going to make mittens to match. I do think it is pretty good...I got the yarn last Sunday and the hat is already done. And my friend is paying for the yarn.

All in all, a very productive week for me!

I managed some little stashbusting this past week. I had a sidetrip to the sock land, because my projects are really slow going and i needed something fast and gratifying. So i listened to my hubby asking for more Lopi socks and knitted him another pair. This time i knitted them without a pattern, adding really simple colorwork patterns from The Knitting Stitch Bible by Maria Parry Jones. On the photo you can't see the blue pattern. The yarn is Lite Lopi by Reynolds, needles - 4.5mm DPN's. I used almost 2 skeins of Lopi and a few yards of the colorwork yarn - some blue Lopi and red Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran.

Natalia - your socks looks great and oh so comfy and warm. Never heard of that yarn before, will have to look it up on Ravelry.

Oh those Lopi socks looks so cozy! I wish I could wear Lopi but it itches me so badly. Fantastic job. I think your hubby owes you a back rub and/or more yarn.

Wonderful work on the socks! You really are the Sock Queen, knitting up a pair without a pattern! And so quickly!

Last Christmas I gave away all but about one small plastic bin of my stash yarn to a woman's drug and alcohol rehab center. They like to knit, crochet, and sew, and had needles but no yarn...

But then I felt so... so... 'stash-less'... I still have urges to stash that have to be addressed....
