I will definitely commit to de-stashing in 2009, though I'm not sure I can manage a stash-ghan as well as the 5-10 projects I have that are unfinished. So like Marria I will work on my UFOs until there are no more and then work my way through my oh so huge stash.

I'll be home with a newborn early in 2009 (i'm due Feb 27 - another boy for me)

So I'll likely put the knitting aside whilst I get #2 settled, but I'll pick it right back up again when he starts sleeping for longer stretches and I am not completely pooped.

Nice thing about the seamless blanket, no matter which style you choose: you can work on it, put it aside, then pick it up again when you have time!!

I hopped on board the Stash train last night and started knitting up some of the cotton yarn I have. I am working on seeral Baby Genius Burp Cloths and Baby Bibs for some expecting mothers.

I plan on destashing this year. My stash isn't that big, but I have only been at this knitting business since July and I can see it getting way outta control. I don't know if I'm going to join the Afghan KAL, but I'm gonna think about it.

I did organize my queue on Raverly, so I know what will be next OTN.

So, is it considered cheating if i go and return a portion of the stash to the store that i bought it from????

Even though I failed miserably last year - I'm on the train this year! In fact one of my goals this year is to not buy any yarn in the first 6 months! Although I have to confess that i did buy some Dream In Color this week before today!

I started today using some Bernat Alpaca Natural blends to create a Baby Cocoon for a friend's photography business. I'm also using up some Katia yarn for a neck warmer for another friend.

I plan to do the stashghan and use up my Caron Pounders and other acrylic yarn also.

I don't see how that would be cheating.

You aren't buying more yarn, so that's the important thing.

nah, just using the store credit for the things i need, like the correct size straight needles (found the yarn sticking to the bamboo needles... thus making it a royal pain to attempt to use what's in my stash)....

I already printed out a list for my dh to shop from for my birthday... It's ALL various feet and attatchments for my sewing machine so I can make a dent in the three 21 gallon rubbermaid bins of fabric i have (i only bought what's in one bin... the other two were given to me via free cycle). I hate working on the quilts only to have a pucker show up on the back when i'm doing the actual quilting because I don't have a feeder foot or the free motion foot... I even went and color coded so he knows which ones take priority over the other parts

I would love to learn to sew, but I don't have any room! And remember, if you are given yarn for your birthday, that doesn't count!

what about gift cards??? i still have over half of my gift cards from xmas for Joanns :P

Yarn acquired with gift cards is BONUS YARN...and doesn't count against you!

Try to get yarn that you will use asap!
