Vintage Pattern question
I want to make this Minuet Stole from freevintageknitting.com.

http://www.freevintageknitting.com/s...l-pattern.html

I absolutely love it just as it is in the photo, but I'm concerned about 2 things:

1) What kind of yarn can I substitute for the "dawn nylon" or "dawn nylon pompadour" so that it looks the same?

2) I'm a little intimidated by all the tucking and sewing for the finishing. Any advice on how this is done?

Thanks in advance for any help!

The Dawn nylon pompadour is a fingering weight yarn, that has 133 yds/oz. (http://www.vintageknits.com/vintyarn1.html) The all nylon has 136 yds. Dunno about the tucking and sewing.

That is really cute! The tucking is simply folding your "material" and tacking it so that the fold stays. Just use the picture to guide how it will look. I think you will find it easier than you think.

Thanks!
So I should just use a tapestry needle and the same yarn, right? And it's okay if it's not 100% nylon?
Thanks again!
