Fiber Trends Clog pattern cuff problems
I am on to the cuff of my first slipper of the Fiber Trends Clog pattern and I have hit a wall. It says to slip a spare circular needle into the first row on the wrong side of the cuff all the way around, which I have done, then to "fold the cuff to the inside, so that the two needles are together. Hold both needles in your left hand. With working needle, knit together a stitch from the front needle and a stitch from the back needle, repeat around casting off loosely at the same time." SO what exactly am I trying to do here? The needles are in, and now I don't know what to stitch...??? help!

You may want to wait for someone more experienced since Im a newbie, but it sounds like you knit two together (one from the front needle and one from the back needle) then bind off by slipping one over once you have two done?? Anyone else? Im having a hard time picturing it with two needles, but maybe just through like a knit stitch on both of the end stitiches on each needle with one wrap and then both stitches off the needles...

Sorry, maybe I made it worse?

Yes, what you're doing here is the same as a 3-needle bind-off.

You'll put your needle through both the stitch on the front needle and the back needle, and knit them as one. Do this again on the next stitch(es) and then pass the first over the second as you do with regular binding off. Keep going all the way around, and you're cuff will be folded over and finished!

I am having the same trouble with this patterns - did the person who gave you the suggestion correct in their assessment of how to go about completely the cuff?

Hi! I forgot about this thread! I am trying to think where I finally got help with this one...I am pretty sure a friend showed me, because it really is difficult to understand if you haven't done it before. I had also found a link to a tutorial, which I will try to find, that was a lot of help.

What you essentially have to do is knit the two together. So you have all the stitches on the needles, and now you need to knit as you normally would, but you are knitting from two needles instead of one. So you would take the right hand needle, the working needle, and put it through the first stitch on the lower needle and through the stitch on the upper needle, and stitch them as one. Then cast off as you go. I will try to get a visual for you...
