I have been knitting this lapghan for 2 months (began in the KAL seamless blanket thread) and it's pretty mindless for me now. I stopped making the log cabin square and was intending to end it, but decided it needed more length, so on one side, I've been just knitting stripes, to make it longer. (see them on the bottom? - where the ball and needles are still attached...)

The other day, I was knitting it in the car in the dark, and didn't make a single mistake. I can knit in the dark!

Hats and socks as long as I am not turning the heel of doing something with cables or patterns. I keep a couple of these type projects going to I can grab and go. I have to admit even at my knitting group I can get to talking or listening and throw myself on a difficult pattern type project.

An easy hat is always great for mindless knitting. Either a simple rolled brim hat or an easy beret.
