Child Safe Eyes
I'm knitting Sheldon the Turtle. I need 9mm black child safe eyes. I can't find them anywhere! None of my local craft stores carry them. And the only place online at which I found them wanted to charge me $10 to ship an $0.80 pair of eyes! Any help?

The only kind of eyes I feel are completely child safe are embroidered eyes.

I've never embroidered anything so it never occurred to me to embroider the eyes. But I think that's a perfect solution to my problem. Thanks to you both for the help!
