Different types of wool
Can anyone direct me to a website that compares different types of wools used in yarn? I'd like to learn more so that I make good selections for the things I want to knit.

TIA,
Marge

Something like the Craft Yarn Council of America's site, maybe?

Or more like Yarn Forward's web page on gauge/tension?

Or do you mean something more like Sheep 101? Just about every nation that raises wool sheep has a website out there to promote their sheep, so Google if you want info on a certain kind of sheep.

Knitter's Review is another good source for yarn info, and how different yarns knit up, and the pros and cons.

In addition to the websites given this book is great! I got it for Christmas and like it a lot. I know they have it at the library here so maybe you can check it out where you live.
