How To reverse pattern on scarf

I am knitting the lion Brand "Road Scarf" # 70023 In the pattern it says to repeat a series of 5 stitch patterns for 3 times. my thinking is that I would like both of the ends to match-possibly starting in the middle of the pattern. What is your advice. I do like this pattern, the various changes make it fun to work with.

You could do a provisional cast on then knit down as far as half would be then put the cast on stitches on the needles and knit down the other side in the same pattern as you used before.
