Hi Jackie! Welcome to the Forum!! Knitting for Preemies is one of my goals too! As a mom of a preemie, I can tell you that all of the handmade items that they get as donations are GREATLY appreciated!! :-) I married an Englishman and have been over several times, but I am not sure if I have made it to Derbyshire! I will have to ask him when he gets home from work! :-) Have fun exploring the forum!

OTN: fingerless gloves

I am MandaPen on Ravelry!!

Welcome! It's a very friendly community here, as others have mentioned. Dive right on in!

OTN: Eyelet Chemise in Handmaiden Sea Silk (colorway: Midnight). Still. And a purple Donegal Tweed set of fingerless mitts, to try out my new Hiya Hiya interchangeable needles.

Latest FO: A shrug for an Anthropologie swap in beautiful Casbah sock yarn, in Cedar, a dark green semi-solid, my own pattern. Also a quick Noro Silk Garden neckwarmer for my friend Aideen, in a vine lace pattern.

Hi Jackie! That is so wonderful that you knit for the little ones.

If you are looking for patterns, you should join if you haven't already. There are lots of patterns there and you can look at other people's work, which is really cool.

There are also hundreds of free patterns at Knitting Pattern Central
If at first you don't it and try again!

OTN: Dollar and a Half Cardigan, Oddball charity projects, Celia, Trellis
