Sundress and Slippers for my Granddaughter
My step-granddaughter's birthday party was this past weekend. I had several things in progress for her, but none of them were close to completion. So, I went searching online for some quick-knit ideas.

I came up with a couple things, and took everything I would need to make them with me on vacation in the mountains.

First, I made these little slippers, using Lion Wool-ease Thick & Quick.

They only took about 30 minutes to make.
Here's the free pattern: http://blog.innerchildcrochet.com/?p=319

Next, I got to work on the bodice for a little sundress. When I finished the bodice, I cut fabric for a skirt, and sewed it on by hand. (I didn't want to take my sewing machine all the way to the mountains.) I was still doing the hem and adding a butterfly patch as we drove to the party on the way back home from the mountains.

It turned out nice!

You can download the free pattern on Ravelry.

It's called "The Two Summer Sundress" by Natalie Larson.
Quick and easy.
